Project and Operations Manager

OMEGA Solutions, a leading Net Zero engineering, training and data management consultancy is growing. We have an exciting vacancy that will cross two disciplines: working as a Project Manager and also supporting the operational side of our business.

We are only a small team, but in less than two-years we now have a big presence in retail sector, customers include Costco, Coop, Walmart and ASDA. We are helping our customers shape their low carbon technology transition; it is an exciting time to join our dynamic team!

Requirements

• A building services and retail refrigeration engineering background is desirable, though you will learn from the best in the business. Your attitude is what matters the most.

• A confident and positive can-do attitude that appreciates variety in day-to-day workload is essential; we are all about getting the job done, and not prescriptive role requirements! Workplace flexibility is a given, but two-days a week in our Cross Hills office will be required; to learn about the business, and to ensure professional development is continuous.

• The ability to interpret customer specifications and what “good” looks like is a must. As a Project Manager you will be responsible for auditing works for third party contractors; confidence to relay concerns and manage the resolution of snags/defects is essential.

• Understanding project, specifically project costs is required – though training will be provided. In order to provide our customers with best value, when we work as their agent, costs provided by third parties, where necessary have to be challenged.

• A thirst to learn about building services engineering technologies, including, cooling, heating, and ventilation. Confidence to challenge the norm and embrace new, low carbon engineering.

• A thirst to learn about how business operates. Though we have an external accountant, there will be a requirement to do basic bookkeeping tasks and support cash flow projections, and the ability to manage and track wider company workload.

• IT proficiency. The role will require a good standard in the use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

• A full UK driving licence is required for the role as travel will play a big part.

• A minimum of three years’ working experience.
